The amp-hour (Ah) and cold cranking (CCA) values in your vehicle handbook are the baseline; case type (L1–L5, B24, D23 etc.), polarity and terminal type must also match. Send us your registration or model on WhatsApp and our team will recommend the right model within minutes.
A correctly chosen SMF battery in regular use lasts 3–5 years on average. Short trips, extreme heat/cold and long idle periods shorten life. A free annual test catches an ageing battery before it strands you.
No — it's not recommended. Start-stop systems generate far more cycles than a standard battery can endure; a standard battery will lose capacity within months and the start-stop function may deactivate. If your car came with EFB, fit at least EFB; if it came with AGM, fit AGM.
In gel batteries the electrolyte is immobilised as a gel: leak-proof, maintenance-free and fully recoverable from deep discharge, with up to 75% more cycling capacity than flooded types. Choose gel for cyclic use (marine, caravan, solar) and flooded/SMF for classic starter duty.
